Members and friends joined the General Meade Society for their annual trek to Citizens Bank Park on August 24th to see their Phillies in action versus the Tampa Bay Rays. Sadly, the Phils’ bats had little action and our nine fell to the Rays, 3-1! Fortunately, the New York Yankees defeated the league-leading Braves 5-4 to allow out home team to remain within striking distance of the Atlanta team. Despite the game’s outcome, the society members had a grand time on a hot night.

Many thanks to Tom Kearney for his work securing tickets for the Society.

And the cry rings out: Wait until next year!
